 About Dr. Cohen
 
 
 Dr. Cohen received his doctoral training at the University of Memphis where he researched sexual compulsivity, sexual dysfunction, & sexual satisfaction. He completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship at the University of South Carolina’s Counseling & Human Development Center, and his Post-Doctoral Fellowship (Multicultural focus) at University of Houston’s Counseling & Psychological Services. Dr. Cohen was trained in sex therapy at The Kinsey Institute’s Sexual Health Clinic by Drs. John Bancroft and Cynthia Graham, and has been involved in over 8 years of research in the areas of (male & female) sexual psychophysiology, sexual dysfunction, sexual compulsivity, and sexual satisfaction. Dr. Cohen is also a Certified Sex Educator and Certified Mind/Body Therapist. For the past 19 years, he has taught as an Adjunct Professor at one of the following Universities: Indiana University, The University of Memphis, the University of Houston, & University of St. Thomas.  Dr. Cohen also provides training presentations on the conceptualization & treatment of sexual compulsivity/ sex addiction.    Since 2001, Dr. Cohen has provided therapy services in a variety of clinical settings, including: University Counseling Centers, LGBTQ Support Services, In-Patient Psychiatric Hospital, VA Medical Center (Spinal Cord Injury & Couples Therapy), Residential Drug Treatment Program.
